Nathan Kibarian was born and raised in Boston. His father was born in Lebanon, but returned to Armenia in one of the first large influxes back to the country after the bolshevik revolution. His mother was originally from Armenian and moved to LA as a teen. The two met in Boston.
Nathan trained at culinary school in Providence, and did a semester in France, before returning to Boston to be a wedding cake designer. Obsessed with desserts and cooking, he spends his free time doing popup shops with traditional Armenian desserts. You can find his shops, and see his desserts, at @bostonpastrychef.
