Dietary notes
Dairy free, gluten free, nut free (tahini is sesame seeds), peanut free, vegetarian, vegan
What you’ll need:
¼ cup (60 mL) tahini
⅓ cup (80 mL) lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
Water
1 tablespoon (15 mL) salt (and more to taste)
Parsley (optional)
Steps:
Mince garlic and let sit in the lemon juice for 2-3 minutes
Add tahini and mix until combined
Add 2 tablespoons (30 mL) of water and mix vigorously. Add more water to thin the sauce to your desired consistency.
Add 1 tablespoon (15 mL) of salt and mix. Add more to taste.
Finely chop parsley and mix into the sauce before serving.
Serve over falafel! Or anything needing a salty, delicious sauce.
